Exquisite Corpse - all is connected

Hello imaginative people,

Thank you for being part of or being interested in our "Exquisite Body".

Maybe this 4th week feels a bit more challenging but somehow I think it suits the life we are living now which can be experienced in so many ways and for many, including me, these stages vary, depending on the day...

So many people suffering and at the same time, I believe, all together understanding better what really connects us, mentally, and what keeps us and our planet together, physically.

I hope you will enjoy this fourth week !

Below the explanation of the way we work for anyone who would like to join. Just send me an email at art@byneeltje.co

How does it work:

The luxurious name of a game you've probably played before. The first one draws "the head", another "the body" and a third "the base" and then ... a magical creature comes to life.

But this one will be even more special: every week of April I will give you three new inspirational words: 1 for the top, 1 for the middle and 1 for the base :)

How it works:
  • Fold an A4 sheet into three sections and draw "the head" on the top, inspired by the first word.
  • Fold the top section back so you can only see the bottom two sections with the markings where you should start and end.
  • Then, draw the second part, inspired by the 2nd word, or, if you have housemates, pass the sheet on to them.
  • Repeat this procedure for the third part, inspired by the third word.

This “Exquisite body”, will consists of absolutely everything that comes to your mind. Perhaps you will design a teapot as a head, an armadillo body and a bicycle as legs! Everything is allowed and everything is good. After all, our world does not only consist of humans or animals, there is a connection between all things.

However, I have a request: Can you please send me one of your creatures every week? Digitally, but preferably by mail: I love receiving mail! An envelope with a stamp are attached.

I am an artist and I would love to create myself something inspired by the creatures I receive, something that is an expression of the connection between everything and everyone… wouldn’t that be

I wish you health, lots of love and fun,
Neeltje

PS Below you see that also famous artists like(d) to play this game !
